"The beauty you see in me, is a reflection of you"

Megha Agarwal
Founder, Studio Maeve

Rooted in tradition. Designed with purpose.

Studio Maeve was born in New York, inspired by a quiet longing—to return to meaning, to craft, and to community.

Megha Agarwal, a trained textile designer, began her career in the corporate home textiles industry. Her days were spent behind screens, designing prints and sending spec sheets to overseas factories. Over time, the work began to feel disconnected—from the materials, the makers, and the soul of the process.

In 2017, Megha founded Studio Maeve, driven by a desire to build something more intentional—fashion that values tradition, craftsmanship, and care.

For five years, she ran the brand from New York, designing thoughtful pieces and serving a growing client base. Yet, something was still missing: the closeness to the making, the ability to collaborate directly with the artisans who brings each piece to life.

Now based in India, Megha works closely with artisan clusters in rural villages, developing each piece from the ground up. Every Studio Maeve garment begins on a traditional wooden loom, where natural fibres are handwoven by skilled weavers preserving generational knowledge. These textiles are then embellished using regional techniques—from delicate hand embroidery and Kantha stitching to mirror work and block printing.

We create in small, intentional batches, honouring the time and human effort it takes to do things well. Each piece is made with honesty and integrity, reflecting the care, skill, and story of the people behind it. We know our artisans. We know our process. And we stand behind every garment we make.

At Studio Maeve, we believe fashion should be meaningful—that clothes can carry heritage, spark conversation, and create impact. Our pieces are not just worn; they are lived in, treasured, and passed down.

This is our way of returning—to craft, to community, to what truly matters.
